Floppy disks
Floppy disks are basically an old data-storage solution. They were pretty much the universal data format from the late 1970s into the 1990s. Most people associate the early days of personal computing with floppy disks.
Put differently, before we had CDs, USB thumb drives, and DVDs, floppy disks ruled the world. Everything you wanted to save went on a floppy disk. And even if you can still find them on sites like eBay and Craigslist, they are worthless unless you have an old computer with a floppy disk drive.
All in all, your grandchildren will never fully understand how a floppy disk works. Don’t you agree?
