According to the National Fire Protection Association, a U.S. fire department was in action every 24 seconds on average two years ago. Another crazy fact about fire is that those who are over 80 have the highest fire death rate, 44.8 percent, to be more specific.
No one wants to deal with a fire, but it can happen anytime. However, if it happens, you should know that certain fireproof products may contain asbestos fibers. Fire blankets, spray-on fireproof coatings, and fire curtains could all contain asbestos. It’s not safe to use them!
