This photo shows a soldier experiencing shell-shock in the trenches of the First World War. Shell shocks were a form of PTSD that occured after soldiers went through too many fights or witnessed shocking events. After a shell shock, those affected became unable to sleep, eat and often experienced hallucination, suicidal thoughts or even inability to use their body correctly.
