In one of the most hilarious, adorable meet-cutes of all time, the pro tennis player happened to be at the same Rome hotel as her now-husband, the co-founder of Reddit. At breakfast one morning, Alexis took a seat close to Serena and her friends.
In an effort to get him to leave, they tried to scare him by saying they saw a rat near him. His response was everything: “I’m from Brooklyn. I see rats all the time.” His bold answer encouraged Serena to invite him to her table, and they went on their first official date in Paris a few days later.
Today, they share their life with their one-year-old daughter Alexis and the family of three couldn’t be more beautiful.
