Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence did not sit idly by when, in 2012, a woman passed out on the lawn outside her apartment building. Scared for her, she went to help and stayed with her until paramedics arrived.
Even when it turned out that the incident was alcohol-related, Lawrence stayed with her until she made sure she was fine. After the woman was treated, she was taken home by a friend of hers.
Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx, along with an off-duty EMT, helped a man that had veered off the road in a ditch. The incident happened when Foxx was driving through Moorpark, California, in 2016. Fox saw Brett Kyle’s car roll over several times before it caught fire.
The two heroes rushed in and cut Kyle out of his seat before paramedics arrived. When they did, they said that the car was completely engulfed in flames. While he suffered burns to his neck, chest, head, and waist, at least he lived to tell the tale!
Steve Buscemi
Between 1980 and 1984, Steve Buscemi worked as a firefighter in New York City. After September 11, the actor took the job again in order to help the thousands of people affected by the terrorist attack.
He went back to the firehouse he’d worked in Little Italy, reconnected with old colleagues, and spent several grueling days looking for survivors through the rubble. Later he said it had been an honor to help out as much as he could, and despite the circumstances, he was also happy to have reconnected with his old friends and work alongside them one last time.
