Rubber Duckies

Depending on where you live, you might not find stray LEGO pieces on your beach. But you could potentially find rubber ducks!

Though a crate with 28,000 rubber ducks was lost five years before the LEGO incident, the bright yellow toys have been popping up all across the globe for years now.

The ship with the crate was traveling between Hong Kong and the U.S. when the accident happened. Since then, they’ve appeared in

Hawaii, Alaska, The Pacific Northwest, Australia, South America, Newfoundland, and even Scotland. But most surprisingly of all? Some rubber duckies were even found encased in Arctic ice!

I guess this means that our oceans now classify as enormous bathtubs!

Whale Vomit

If you’re minding your own business down by the beach and happen upon an unusual smell, it’s in your best interest to go and investigate it. You could come face to face with chunks of ambergris, whale vomit.

These look like chunks of muddy rocks and are actually worth a fortune. Ambergris is used to formulate luxury fragrances. The older it gets, the sweeter it smells, though nowadays companies use synthetic formulas to achieve the same results.

When a group of Omani fishermen found a 176-pound chunk in 2016, it was valued at $3 million! So, if you’re one of the lucky few that finds one, count your blessings!
