With the astonishing news that rapper and all round big mouth Kayne West has to decided to throw his hat (invariably a red one with the words ‘Make America Great Again’ emblazoned on it) into the presidential ring, it may come as no surprise that West is not the first less than sane person to run for the highest office.
The Constitution states that any presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older. Being a sane, well adjusted human being is apparently not a prerequisite for becoming the Commander and Chief.
And wow, there have been more than a few individuals who have decided they could run the country better than the incumbent president. However, despite that being their right as an American citizen, the people on this list seem more suited to a jacket that fastens around the back rather than a pinstripe one.
So let’s take a look at some of the strangest people who tried (and thankfully failed) to run for president.

You left out Donald Trump!!
Well, there’s also Kanye West. He’s a few sheep short of a flock, as well.
Wow, you must be a Democrat. He did more for this Country and its citizens than anyone will ever do. I bet you were never in the Military.
Trump was the greatest president since Reagan….
Wake up John
Donald Trump was the BEST President to ever step foot in the White House.
