The Canadian-American actor and comedian first gained attention in our country in 1990 after landing a recurring role in the sketch comedy television series In Living Color. Like the most of the artists found in our list, Carrey struggled to make a name for himself too.
However, after having regular paid shows, his financial problems began to diminish, starting a whole new chapter in his career. Carrey gained popularity as the eccentric green-skinned being named The Mask and the equally eccentric pet detective Ace Ventura.
