Like all institutions, private or not, the workplace has a set of rules to keep things working efficiently. In order to keep everyone safe and to have the workflow run smoothly, there are rules to be followed, and they generally abide by common sense. However, there are some places that have the wildest rules and some make no sense.
It would be a mistake to get mad at your manager, who, despite having to enforce these hilariously weird rules, did not in fact write them up. They all come up from the owners and some of them have vendettas against their workers. These rules are bound to make you chuckle and wonder what happened that this became a rule, but keep in mind some people actually have to work under them.
