Sewing is one of the oldest of the textile arts. As a matter of fact, this practice has an ancient history estimated to have begun during the Paleolithic Era. Sewing is also known to have some benefits for your overall health such as reducing stress and anxiety and improving motor skills.

“People have the time now to invest [in sewing] and that is not true of our typical rushed and over-scheduled world. We also are finding ourselves in a situation where we must re-learn some of these old-fashioned skills out of necessity,” says Natalie Clausen, speech-language pathologist and founder of Full Green Life.
