Georgian sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze simply called this masterpiece “Man and Woman”. The steel sculptures are 8 meters tall. The man and woman start moving towards each other at 7 AM. It only takes 10 minutes for the movement to be completed and the two of them pass trough each other.This is Tamara’s interpretation of the novel “Ali and Nino”, a sad love story between a Muslim boy (Ali) and a Georgian princess (Nino).
The action takes in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tragically, the invasion of Soviet Russia separates the young lovers. You can watch the fascinating moving sculptures near the seaside in the city of Batumi, Georgia.
