- Accessibility, diversity, and quality: 10
We think some of you would agree that Honolulu food is pretty expensive, but it’s definitely worth the money. Chefs, both young and veterans, are inspired by Hawaii’s culinary traditions every time they create a plate. Dishes such as poke, Spam musubi, doughnut-like malasadas, and food-truck garlic shrimp are must-haves!

In 2016, Bon Appetit named Washington, D.C. the “Restaurant City of the Year.” We think that Washington, D.C. still deserves its 2016 title since it is one of a few cities in the entire world where restaurants can actually earn and get Michelin stars. Washington, D.C. is home to 18 Michelin restaurants with only 2,651 Michelin restaurants in the world. Impressive, right?
Sadly, when it comes to affordability, Washington, D.C. tends to squeeze your pockets when dining out.
