William Henry Harrison had the shortest presidency in our history.
Lasting just a month, Willian Henry Harrison had the shortest presidency of all. Another interesting fact about the United States’ ninth president is that Harrison didn’t want to wear a coat during his inauguration. On the same day, he gave a quite long speech, about 90 minutes, and physicians thought that due to this, the president fell ill with pneumonia, causing his death. Some think that he had from septic shock.
The most unpopular president? John Tyler!
As a president, you have to be charismatic. It is part of the job. People should like you. However, that wasn’t the case of John Tyler, the tenth president of our country. Shortly after his death (1862), The New York Times said that he was the most unpopular president until then.
If you’re not up to date with your history lessons, John Tyler was considered a traitor.
