4. You turn up the hot water
If you’re just like me, I think you would agree that there’s virtually nothing more relaxing and pleasant than taking a hot bath after an exhausting day at the office. In fact, several studies suggest that taking hot baths/showers may relieve stress and promote good mental health.
Sadly, your skin disapproves. If you want to keep your skin in tip-top shape, turning up the hot water is not the answer. As relaxing as it can be, hot water exposure lead to dry skin and several skin problems such as eczema. Dermatologists say that spending way too much time in hot water can worsen eczema symptoms significantly.
