9. Microsoft Clippy

How could we forget about “Clippy?” It was the most annoying thing about Microsoft. It all started in 1997 with Office for Windows. It was then when Microsoft thought that an interactive virtual assistant proving pieces of information could help a lot of its users.

Well…they were wrong. Clippy had a tendency to pop more often than it should. In 2001, Microsoft turned off the default settings, but it didn’t help that much either, and, as a result, the annoying Clippy turned to dust.
