During this quarantine, you’ve probably seen a lot of homemade bread photos on social media. That’s mainly because homemade bread is tastier, healthier and more safe. However, we want to highlight another benefit: baking is a proven stress reliever.
A 2016 study in The Journal of Positive Psychology found that pursuing daily creative goals, such as embarking on a new recipe, helped young adults think more positively.
Then, it comes as no surprise that there was such an increase in home baking at the end of March that The Washington Post reported that many grocery stores were running out of yeast and flour. If you are able to find the essential ingredients, you should make your own bread at home.
