The Italian-born American former racing driver, Mario Andretti, is one of the three drivers who won races in the World Sportscar Championship, Formula One, IndyCar, and NASCAR. But what really happens to a former Formula One champion when he can’t race anymore (he is 81 years old)? Simple: He purchases a winery.
That’s was the case of Mario Andretti, who, back in 1996, purchased a winery with a former chairman of K-Mart. Located in Napa, California, he called it ‘Andretti Winery,’ and today, it produces varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, and chardonnay.
