George Lucas
The creator of Star Wars has, unsurprisingly, accumulated vast amounts of money. After all, his creation is one of the biggest film franchises in the world with fans all over the globe (perhaps even the universe?)
He too joined the Giving Pledge, saying he is focused on the future of education, wanting every single child and student to have the resources they need in order to make it on their own and find their own success.
In addition, Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson, wish to “raise the bar for future generations of students of all ages.”
