Chloe Kim made Olympics history as the youngest woman to win a snowboarding medal
The American snowboarder made sports history at the 2018 Winter Olympics in February when she won the gold medal in the women’s halfpipe at the age of 17. Kim also holds the record of being the youngest woman to ever land two 1080-degree spins in a row at the Olympics.
After her triumphant wins, Kim dedicated her performance to her grandmother, who lives in South Korea. Her record-breaking performance cemented her status as an athlete to watch during the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
