1. The Galleries Lafayette Paris Haussmann
We all know that the French go all out when it comes to style and decorations, and they definitely do not hold back when it comes to Christmas. The galleries are open all year round and are host to thousands of stores, exclusive events, and experiences that are unique to the French culture. To top it all off, in December, they are donned in their best festive decorations and they are a sight to behold. Even the dome gets decorated!
They get better each year, and you can find many of their creations online: from the balloon tree to the inverted one, they always manage to surprise us with their creativity. This one here though was our favorite.
2. Fortnum & Mason
When you think about English shopping centers that do Christmas justice, your mind might go to the famous Harrods. However, while they do have an amazing Christmas Village inside, it does not inspire much when you look at it from the outside. When it comes to both outside and inside Christmas extravaganzas, you have to check out Fortnum & Mason.
They have it down to a T and for many years they have had their store look like an advent calendar from afar! Brilliant! The quintessential British houses can be a bit repetitive with their boxy windows and general square appearance, despite being iconic. So the store made sure to bypass looking just like everyone else and they give us the true Christmas dream with their decorations. The inside is just as beautiful!
