When we see our favorite famous people on television and in magazines, it’s really hard to believe that they were ever people just like us—working their asses off to pay their rents. However, even the richest stars had to start as low-paid workers with awful jobs.

1. Nicki Minaj was a waitress at Red Lobster
Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, known as Nicki Minaj is a famous singer, songwriter, actress, and model. She gained success when she released her first studio album in 2010, Pink Friday, which peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.
In fact, Minaj has even been considered to be one of the most influential female rap artists. However, life isn’t always peaches and cream, and, as a result Nicki Minaj actually worked as a waitress at Red Lobster before dominating music charts. She admits that she worked at a couple of Red Lobsters and she was fired from all three or four of them, because “she wasn’t the most gracious employee.”
