Hanging off helicopters mid-air
If you thought climbing on top of buildings or hanging off them was dumb, wait until you hear about the new fad people came up with. They call themselves adventurers, but we think they are missing some screws. While on a trip with a helicopter, one of them had the amazing idea to open the door and hang outside of the flying vehicle: all so he could take the (in their opinion) best selfie ever!
They did post it and it definitely garnered a lot of reactions, but they should have thought about how they were not only endangering themselves, but also everyone else in the helicopter. And, truthfully, that pilot could lose their license over something like this! For good measure too, this selfie would not have been possible if not for the pilot agreeing to be a part of it!
Over the top couple pictures
This one is somehow similar to the previous ones, but they involve couples. There are lots of couple pictures floating around on social media, but some are going beyond cute hand-holding that makes the looker feel as if they’re holding hands with the person in the picture. It may seem a bit rude to call them out of touch with reality, but when you hear what they are doing for these pictures you will be of the same opinion: it was a dumb decision, just for a few thousand likes on Instagram.
There are a lot of couples who scale up skyscrapers in exotic destinations (like Dubai), sometimes with another person, just so they can take pictures. The setting? More often than not, they’re standing on the edge of a building, the guy is holding the girl’s hand as she hangs in the air over the structure and you can see the quite impressive free fall they would take if something horrible were to happen. Not only is it irresponsible to trespass in order to climb up a building, but just dangling someone over a 1,000-foot drop without any safety equipment is mental!
People would truly do anything for a picture nowadays!
