Milk delivery
When you were just a kid, the milk you consumed was delivered right at your doorsteps. According to The New York Times, about 30 percent of consumers had milk delivered this way back in 1963. The New York Times also added that by 2005, just 0.4 percent of total sales were actually home-delivered.
Now, if someone says that the milkman showed up, it would become the punchline for a joke. However, we don’t say the milk delivery has entirely disappeared as AmazonFresh, for example, can bring your needed dairies (including milk) right at your doorsteps. And not only dairies but everything a grocery list could have on it.
