How often do you hear “wind down the window, please” nowadays? Chances are you haven’t heard it in a while. Even better, say that to your grandkid next time you take him/her for a ride. Their reaction will probably be priceless; it will definitely make you laugh.
Some of them would be shocked to find out that back in the days, we used to crank the window up and down manually. According to a report released by Car and Driver, in 2016, only 6 percent of new cars for sale offered manual windows in our country. That percentage most likely dropped since then.

… and apparently the person who wrote this doesn’t know what a skate key is for either.
Kids with a skate key in their pockets weren’t wearing the leather boots with permanently attached wheels and axles. They clamped skates onto the soles of their shoes, using the key to tighten them in place. Not to “adjust the fit”, as the article claims.
