New York

In upstate New York, you can find a cozy historical restaurant that is just what everyone who likes a more relaxed atmosphere needs. The 1833 Kitchen and Bar, as the name states, was built in 1833 and maintained its character over the years. The main dining room was built with a view to the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in Aurora, so make sure you go a little bit early for dinner to take advantage of the gorgeous sunset views with your meal.

Like the others on our list, they also source their produce locally and serve award winning dishes with a focus on the farm to table vibe. Most of the menu is a must-try, so whatever your tastes may be, you will definitely find something to try. Fair warning, you will need a reservation so make one in advance and keep in mind New York mandated everyone who opts to dine-in to be vaccinated.

Pennsylvania

Pocono Mountains are a natural oasis, but they also host the restaurant of our choosing. The Tree Restaurant, from Lodge at Woodlock will make sure to satisfy any of your dreams and desires when it comes to fancy date nights. Not only should you just get a night to make most of the hotel as well, since it is a spa (couple’s package anyone?), but their food is amazing. They made sure to show us that food that is generally considered good for you can not only be presented artfully and creatively but also taste amazing. No matter what food regime you may have, you are bound to find something here. And the view is spectacular, just as we expected from such a location! (Make sure you have your vaccination card with you as you will have to present it to be let in)

Texas

Chef Bruce Auden has been on top of the food game in San Antonio, Texas for almost four decades, so it is to be expected that his place would be on our list. Biga overlooks the San Antonio River Walk, as expected from the owner to also choose a great view to work with his delicious dishes. It is not for the faint of heart, as the place is quite pricey, but one special date night per year is definitely worth it. His food proves that what a dish needs to do to be good is to be delicious, and not extremely fancy and formal.

When you make a reservation, make sure you ask for Table 31: it is a private spot just off the main dining room, that is generally reserved for the world’s rich and famous. But who says it cannot be yours for one night: are you ready to dine like all the celebrities and celebrate your union?
