Like in the case of talcum powder, you may not find asbestos written on a fertilizer label. Most fertilizers as well as potting soil products contain a mineral called vermiculite that can contain asbestos fibers.
So, if you opt for this type of product in your beautiful garden, use them with caution! Always wear a mask and, it might be a good idea to keep your grandkids out of the garden.
