1. Baskets

Instead of bland looking plastic containers, why not buy a variety of baskets from your local thrift store? They sell for between $1 and $5, are made out of natural materials and certainly make your newly organized space look more lively by adding texture.

It’s best to use them for small electronics that aren’t used very often like gaming controllers or remotes, but they work just as well with pet gear and even in the pantry. Just avoid putting any clothes in them since they can snag your fabrics!

2. Large Bowls

No matter who you are or where you live, there’s definitely a place in your home called the drop zone. This is where keys, loose change, sunglasses and other small items end up. Depending on the drop zone (or zones) situation in your home, you may need to purchase a large bowl for each member of your family.

Luckily, if you opt for a thrift store one, you’ll end up spending a lot less money. Metal, wood or stoneware bowls can add a little character to the unsightly mess that is the drop zone, just make sure they’re big and sturdy enough to handle anything that might get tossed inside without topping over!
