Carl Lewis
Considered to be one of the best athletes in the history of sport, the American Carl Lewis set several world records and dominated for many years the long jump and short distance running events (100 and 200 meters). In 1999 he was named World Athlete of the Century by the International Association of Athletics Federations or IAAF in short.
However, the gold medalist of the Olympic Games, Carl Lewis puts part of his success on the importance of time that he learned in McDonald’s kitchen, where he had his first job. The athlete appeared in an advertisement for the well-known fast food chain, saying that this job was his first race against the clock. Served him well, don’t you think?
