“Black Panther” was highly-anticipated
The film’s release in 2018 was well worth the wait as it is one of the highest rated superhero movies of all-time and one of the highest rated movies overall in 2018.
When it opened, “Black Panther” earned an estimated $201 million and has since broken $1 billion, becoming the tenth-highest grossing movie of all time. It currently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 97% and is nominated for two Golden Globes.
Not only did “Black Panther” score at the box office, but its position as a majority-black film has cemented its legacy as a catalyst for diversity.
