1. Flushable wipes
The people behind the flushable wipes claim these innovative adult wet wipes are what’s been missing out of our bathroom routine all along. But are they, or are these companies just trying to swindle us out of more money?
Here’s the thing. They claim that they’re worlds better than regular toilet paper but what they won’t tell you in their advertising is that they’re dangerous for our plumbing and sewage systems. People who work in the industry say they’d prefer is consumers wouldn’t use them, as they cause more and more blockages.
Furthermore, did you know they aren’t even biodegradable? So not only will you cause damages to our sewage systems while using them, but you’ll also damage the environment while you’re at it.
If you can’t go back to regular toilet paper, consider using a toilet tissue spray instead for the same effect. It’s easier on the environment and better for your wallet overall! You can find several options on Amazon, so you don’t have to look far for them!
2. Baby shoes
We’re just going to go out and say it, baby shoes are adorable! Resisting the urge to buy a pair for your child, grandchild, niece or nephew is difficult, but we promise, they’re really not worth the money.
Here’s the thing. Babies can’t walk, so they have no use for that cute Adidas footwear. They’ll grow out of them faster than you can snap a picture of their tiny feet (well, not really, but you get the point!)
If you really want to spend some money on a baby in your life, consider buying clothes. Better yet, why not contribute to their future instead? Investing in a college savings plan will help set them up for life, far more than any cute shoes will- shoes that, we guarantee, they won’t even remember when they grow up.

my wife insists on buying paper plates AND plastic water bottles
I cannot get her to see the folly of this.
It saves time washing dishes
which I hate with a passion.
