Much like Coca-Cola and Pepsi, Haribo decided to go down the ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’ rabbit hole by changing the recipe on their popular Gummy Bears to a more sugar-free variety.

Unfortunately for them, this new version of their candy exploded onto the scene, just not in popularity but in their customers’ toilets as the little bears caused major gastric problems.
