11. ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ video game
The movie “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” was a blockbuster, winning 4 Academy Awards in 1983. However, we can’t say the same when it comes to its video game. The video game was made, of course, based on the movie, and it was designed for the Atari 2600 computer.
Unlike the movie, the video game was a disaster, and it has been called many times the worst video game ever. Maybe it was a complete failure because the game designer, Howard Scott Warshaw, had only 5 weeks to develop it.
