We couldn’t start this list off without mentioning Bill Gates, who created the Giving Pledge alongside Melinda Gates, his wife, and Warren Buffet, their millionaire investor friend.
The famous couple has three children who grew up watching their parents amass vast amounts of wealth- unsurprisingly since Microsoft is one of the most profitable companies on the planet.
But on top of that, they also witnessed their parents’ generosity. While they will most likely inherit some of their parents’ money, they won’t see every last cent.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is yet another way in which the couple gives back. They believe it’s important to create a wonderful philanthropic tradition in an attempt to help the world become a better place.
