Being Too Rough With Carpet
Carpets may look and feel durable, but using brute force on them will slowly break them down. So when it’s time to clean your carpets, a gentle touch is much better.
Don’t scrub your carpets as though they’ve done something to personally offend you. Blotting stains with a damp cloth works ten times better and will help you avoid long-lasting damage.
In terms of detergents, use mild ones, but always make sure to match the stain remover for the job. Noticed a few old blood spots? Use hydrogen peroxide. For grease, use dish detergent instead! A quick google search will tell you what to use for the best results.
