Harry Stine

Although Stine might not be a household name, his controversial inventions most definitely are. Whether you are aware of it or not, you are more likely using his product, genetically modified seeds. Stine is Iowa’s largest landowner, its wealthiest citizen and its only billionaire. His intentions have always been to try and increase the yield of many crops that sustain the world and believes GM crops are the future, but many are still suspicious and sceptical of genetically engineered foods.

Stine is worth around $3.9 billion
