10. Getting Directions
Just a couple of years ago, if you left your house without checking how to get to your destination, you were most likely going to end up lost. Asking for directions was the norm. But nowadays? You can check exactly where you are at any given time on your phone.
If you didn’t have a map you could always ask a clerk at a gas station about which roads you should take, but that’s a thing of the past. When I was growing up, my mother used to have directions written down on an old envelope that she always referred back to. There’s no need for that old envelope now, though.
12. Making Prank Calls
Prank calls are a thing of the past thanks to caller ID. The teenagers of the future won’t rely on the fact that their anonymity is safe so they won’t be able to call local shops or taverns with silly questions.
People who fell for these pranks are probably happy that future generations won’t have to deal with them, but kids will have to find other ways to have a little bit of harmless fun!

We still have our land line. It costs a fraction of what people pay for cell service, it never needs to be recharged, and I don’t have to go looking for it!
