Choosing the right materials for your home can be the easiest part of a renovation project, but this only happens on TV or YouTube. In general, an interior designer spends a lot of time looking for the right materials and they have to see a lot of showrooms and offers before making any decision.
“On TV, the designer goes to one showroom and picks a tile and it’s within budget and in stock,” said Human. “In real life, that happens about 2% of the time. We then have to convince our clients to like the sample, and then we need to create drawings, rendering, and boards.”
