Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner shocked everyone, not least of which the LGBT community when she came out in support of Trump in 2016. It shouldn’t have been such a surprise, however, as she’s been openly Republican for quite some time!

In 2018, things changed as she realized that Trump was openly against the trans community- her community. As such, she revoked her support and spoke up against everyone that trying to dismantle the progress the LGBT community has made over the past couple of decades.

In an interview with People in June 2020, she said she is learning from her mistakes and furthermore mentioned that she now identifies as “economically conservative, socially progressive.”

Kristy Swanson

Who knew that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a proud Republican? In a response to criticism of her support for Donald Trump, Kristy Swanson tweeted that she’s always felt proud of her political leanings in 2017.

On her social media, she also spoke against Women’s March and other feminist causes, but she also wrote about her support for Brett Kavanaugh back in 2019. Also in December of 2019 she condemned Democrats and claimed they were the ones who divided and destroyed our nation.

Tim Allen

During a Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Tim Allen sparked controversy when he compared being a conservative in Hollywood to life in Germany in the 1930s. Despite the backlash he received from his peers and online, he is still openly conservative.

In 2015, he endorsed John Kasich and in 2018 he called himself a political anarchist.

James Woods

In 2017, James Woods sent out a tweet that had many people wondering what it’s like to be a conservative actor. He said that many of his Republican friends live in fear of losing their jobs over their views.

He claims he’s been blacklisted due to his political views, among other things. He used to be a part of the Democratic Party until Bill Clinton was impeached, then registered as Independent during the George W. Bush and Barack Obama eras. Finally, he endorsed Ted Cruz in November 2015.
