It seems that he was related to Eleanor, his wife by blood. Apparently, FDR and his wife were fifth cousins.

The 34th president of the United States didn’t mess around (at all) when it came to golf, and he didn’t let anyone or better-said anything to stand in his way.
Eisenhower had a putting green installed right next to the White House, but the squirrels weren’t happy about it, digging up the green whenever they could. Eventually, Eisenhower got so mad that he ordered the staff to shoot them. Thankfully, they didn’t shoot the squirrels but caught and released them in a park.
