Wait, These People Downplayed the Pandemic but Were First in Line for the Vaccine?

Kevin Stitt

Did you know that Kevin Stitt, the governor of Oklahoma, was the first governor in the U.S. to test positive for COVID-19? Despite this, he did not follow guidelines from medical professionals, meaning that he refused to wear a mask most of the time. Not only that, but he refused a statewide mask mandate.

So you’d think that someone that denied the fact that the coronavirus is so dangerous would be vehemently against a vaccine, right? Well, as it turns out, Stitt took the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, saying that he wishes to lead by example in doing so.

However, many have pointed out that he should have led by example earlier on and that he hasn’t really done anything to help the general population avoid getting sick.
