6. CIA’s heart attack gun

It sounds like something out of a spy movie to have a weapon that with a single shot can cause the death of a person through a heart attack. But it is actually a true weapon, made and used by the CIA. The Central Intelligence Agency revealed in 1975 during testimony this weapon and explained how it was used.

The gun does not shoot bullets, but instead, a tiny dart loaded up with poison. The dart is so small that it only leaves a tiny dot behind, resembling a mosquito bite, and it disintegrates after the target is hit. Not only that, but the poison acts fast and then denatures so there are no tracks to be found at an autopsy. Talk about a perfect weapon for assassinations.

5. Baldwin Grove

We all know that the world’s top 1% probably gets up to some weird shenanigans when they get bored. After all, they can afford anything this world has to offer with the size of their bank accounts.  The theory that they meet up once every year for a secret meeting has been circulating for ages. And yes, it has been proven to be true. However, the meeting in Baldwin Grove is probably way more different than you could have imagined.

Every July the world’s richest gather in Baldwin Grove for two weeks which consist of a lot of drinking and partying, druid worships and rituals, theater, and, you guessed it, super-secret talks that no one outside those who participate knows about. It is a mystery but one thing is known: business remains outside. Except, project Manhattan in 1942. They made an exception for the atomic bomb.

4. Poisonous Alcohol

It is public knowledge that too much alcohol can lead to alcohol poisoning. Yet, this is not the poison we are talking about.  During the prohibition, there was a rumor that some of the illegal liquor was poisoned. Little did they know it was true.

When the law failed to stop people from drinking and instead had the opposite effect. It popularised speakeasies and widespread illegal production and distribution of alcohol, and thus the government thought of more drastic measures. In the 1920s, the government poisoned large quantities of alcoholic beverages with toxins, very high levels of methanol (which is deadly).

As a result, about 10,000 people died. Needless to say, this is not the way to go if you want people to stop drinking.
