Despite seven actors in total portraying James Bond on film in the last 59 years, for us, Sean Connery is the one and only 007, and while Daniel Craig is doing an excellent job of portraying a more gritty James Bond with claws, there was another actor already famous for his adamantium claws seriously considered for the most famous British spy, the Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.
He ultimately turned down the role when he realized that he would have absolutely no say in the script. The strange part of his decision is that after he said in an interview “I just felt at the time that the scripts had become so unbelievable and crazy, and I felt like they needed to become grittier and real.” That’s exactly the direction the series went in.
