3. Judy Garland: We Are Not in Kansas Anymore
It is said that tragedy struck Judy Garland long before her untimely demise. She was known for her role as Dorothy in the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz. Sadly, she was also known for her tumultuous life, including five marriages and a reckless abuse of pills.
She was married to Mickey Deans when she passed away at the age of 47. The musician and entrepreneur found her in the bathroom. Reportedly, blood was streaming from her mouth. The official cause of death was listed as “an incautious self-overdosage” of barbiturates.
Many people questioned where or not her death was indeed accidental or if perhaps she had committed suicide, but Coroner Gavin Thurston insisted on the former after the autopsy.
