7. Today, we spend a lot on love.

Did you know that we spent over $20 billion on Valentine’s Day gifts in 2019? Yes… the power of love, and money. Valentine’s Day helps raise the American economy—if I were President Biden, I would pick a second date dedicated to love and romance; I would name it Robinette’s Day and, of course, I would put it on June 14.

On average, people spent around $200 for Valentine’s Day in 2019 (2020 doesn’t count as a pandemic was upon us). Men tend to spend more on Valentine’s Day than women, maybe because they have something to hide (kidding) or because they want to keep their lovers satisfied.
