1. Milkman
Almost every single day in the 1950s, the milkman was probably the first person you saw in the morning. Along with bottles of milk, he also delivered other kitchen staples like butter and eggs. Now, this occupation no longer exists. In other words, this job expired with the rise of refrigerators.
2. Elevator Operator
Kids these days will never know that elevators weren’t always so easy to use. In the past, there was a job called “elevator operator.” They were responsible for controlling the elevator. From closing the doors to handling the capacity and the speed of the elevator, this occupation met its ending in the ’50s, when automatic elevators began to appear.
