In our country, more than 4 in 10 Americans are obese
With this shocking number on the plate, maybe there’s no wonder why 1 in 8 people in the U.S. has been employed by the popular fast-food chain, McDonald’s. A report released last year concluded that more than 40 percent of individuals in the United States are obese.
The same report also said that almost one in ten is severely obese. Wake up, people! It is a serious health condition that can lead to a wide range of health complications including type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, as well as arthritis.
In fact, obesity is actually associated with more than 60 chronic diseases.
