2. The Edsel
Edsel was a car brand that the Ford Motor Company actually marketed. Its name came from the son of the famous Ford Motor Co. founder, Henry Ford. Just like many other things listed here, Edsel failed to gain public acceptance, although there were high expectations.
Some experts think that Edsel’s unusual look was responsible for its failure, while others blame several mechanical problems. According to Washington Post, back in the 50s circulated a joke regarding Edsel—’Everyday Something Else Leaks.’
For obvious reasons, Ford stopped manufacturing this car in 1959.
