2. Stuffed animals
If you want to buy your kid or grandkid a present, please avoid buying stuffed animals at the thrift store. They could be infected with fleas, germs, allergens, mold, or bed bugs. So, don’t let the cuteness drag you into a trap. Buy your grandkid a new one, or just skip it altogether.
The little one probably has tons of stuffed animals at home.
3. Furniture with dated fabric
While most old furniture pieces look amazing, it is not always a good idea to purchase them. More than 85 percent of the furniture made between 1984 and 2010 may pack harmful fire retardant chemicals in their fabric.
If you really love a couch, let’s say test it for toxins before buying it. However, we suggest you avoid old chairs and couches at all costs.
