4. Pet furniture
Do you really want your beloved four-legged friend to sleep on a bed used by other pets? Pets you don’t know if they were properly cared for? Blankets, crates, houses, and beds should definitely be avoided at the thrift store.
They could contain harmful germs, bugs, and other six-legged creatures. If you really want to buy something for your furry friend, buy it brand-new. Sometimes, washing is not enough…
5. Upholstered headboards
Are you planning a small bedroom remodeling project? If yes, please don’t buy an upholstered headboard at the thrift store. Bed bugs get comfy in headboards, too, not only in mattresses. Just try to avoid purchasing them second-hand. They aren’t worth the money, mostly because they could harm your health.
As a matter of fact, you should examine any fabric-covered thrifted item before displaying it in your house.
