Calling all Starbucks lovers out there! Starbucks will turn 50 this year! With over 30,000 stores globally, Starbucks is one of the most popular coffeehouses among Americans nowadays (and not only). But like all things in life, it wasn’t “born” popular. A half-century ago, Starbucks was actually a small shop in Seattle’s Pike Place Market.

The Quarter Pounder

After sipping on a Starbucks latte, a visit to McDonald’s is always welcomed. And although most of us prefer going the old-fashioned way (with a Big Mac), maybe this year you should try McDonald’s Quarter Pounder. The first Quarter Pounder order was made in 1971, but it was only after two years when the Quarter Pounder became part of the McDonald’s menu.
